Enjoy a safe family Santa experience In Galway Christmas Market.

Please note this is an outdoor event. Within current public health guidelines there are no capacity limits on outdoor events. During this phase of reopening of the economy much of the responsibility for managing COVID-19 risk remains with each individual themselves, particularly in relation to social distancing, the wearing of face covering/masks and hygiene.

Please do not attend if you are unwell, awaiting COVID-19 rest results or under direction to remain in isolation/quarantine.

Please observe the one way system n place  and circulate through the market in a clockwise direction. If coming from the south side please do not enter opposite the station but rather enter at the shopping centre and continue in a clockwise direction through the market.

Weekends are peak times, particularly in the afternoons. If you wish to have a more relaxed experience of visiting the market we strongly recommend that you visit on a weekday morning.

Proof of immunity is not required for entry to the market, however it is required for entry to the bar and for all over 18s visiting Santa’s cabin. You will also be asked to present ID and contact details will be taken, for contact tracing purposes only.


Capacity limits apply to the bar and the bar operator reserves the right to refuse admission. From time to time pre-booked ticketing may apply, please check before planning your attendance,

We ask that you wear a face mask in any congested areas particularly while queuing.


Masks are required when queuing for the bar or moving around within the bar and also for all those over 12 visiting Santa.


Hand sanitiser is provided at the toilets.
