Opening hours? 

 Áras na nGael from Dec 10th during the following times: 

Thursday: 2pm to 8pm 
Friday: 2pm to 8pm 
Saturday: 10am to 8pm 
Sunday: 10am to 8pm

During Christmas week - Dec 21st to 24th - the opening hours are as follows: 
Monday Dec 21st: 9am to 8pm
Tuesday Dec 22nd: 9am to 8pm 
Wednesday Dec 23rd: 9am to 8pm
Thursday Dec 24th: 9am to 2pm 

How do we get there? 

Áras na nGael, 47 Dominick Street Lower - Eircode H91 E1NY


Tickets cost €15 per child, adults €8, and children under 18 months go free

What does my ticket include? 

Your ticket includes access to a festive wonderland, craic with Santa's Chief elf Elfalfa on a stroll along the enchanted Christmas Tree path, the chance to post your letter to Santa in our special North Pole mailbox, a visit with Santa, plus a seasonal hot drink (hot chocolate, mulled wine or alcohol free punch) afterwards. 

For an additional fee you can also include a souvenir photo of your visit.

Are we outside throughout? 

Yes, the experience is an outdoors one so we recommend that you dress aprropriately for the weather, dress warmly and bring your waterproofs!

How long is the experience? 

In Áras na nGael your visit will take 15-20 minutes.

what do i do when i arrive? 

You must check in on arrival with a copy of your confirmation email (on your phone or printed) and you will be greeted by one of Santa Elves. 

Please follow the directions of our staff and performers as you move through the experience. From time to time you will be directed to marked positions to stand in, enabling social distancing. We rely on your compliance with these directions to ensure the safety of all.


There is no public parking in the immediate vicinity of Áras na nGael but there are plenty of parking options a short walk away: 

Spanish Arch Car Park, Quay Street (Jury's Inn) 

Mill Street Car Park

Do I need to book in advance? 

Yes, tickets must be purchased in advance for a specific time slot.

Can I bring a buggy? 

Buggy's can be wheeled through in Áras na nGael


Áras na nGael is accessible - however we do ask that if you have a specific accessibility requirement that you contact us in advance so that we can ensure all facilities are available to you

Do we have to wear a mask? 

While this experience is an outdoor one we ask that all visitors over the age of 13 wear a mask throughout - Even though science tells us that the risk is 19 times lower outdoors this added precaution helps us protect those that may be a little more vulnerable. 

Public health guidelines? 

Christmas Crackers is situated in  two venues deemed to be controlled environments and can safely operate by ensuring that all physical distancing and other protective measures can be maintained. We adhere to all relevant public health guidelines including (but not limited to) those outlined in the Fáilte Ireland COVID-19 Safety Charter with specific guidelines for tourism and hospitality businesses. Can I add additional people to my booking? 

Adding extra people to your booking will depend on whether there is availability for your booking time slot. We would advise giving us a call if your numbers have increased and we will do our best to accommodate your request. 

what time should I arrive? 

We ask that you arrive no more than 5 mins in advance of your allocated booking time. To ensure that all visitors get to experience the magic of Christmas Crackers each time slot will have a limited number of people allocated to it & check in will take no time at all. 

What If I am late? 

We will do our best to accommodate you into the next available time slot but bear in mind that numbers per session are limited so this may involve a wait until the next available time slot. Whilst we will try to accommodate you there is no guarantee that there will be a slot available and in this instance no refunds can be given. 

Group Bookings? 

There is a limit of 10 people per session - but it may be possible to accommodate your group across a number of sessions, so best to give us a call if your group is larger and we can chat through your options. 

Baby Changing facilities? 

There are toilet facilities available  but these do not include baby changing facilities. 

Unfortunately there are no wheelchair accessible toilets.

I have to cancel my booking  - can i get a refund? 

Customers will receive a full refund or credit in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. A full refund may be issued when booking is cancelled within 48hours of arrival time. Customers also have the option of a gift card to the value of the booking within 24hours. Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows and late arrivals will not be entitled to a refund

If my booking is cancelled by the organiser do I get a refund?


Can we take our own photos? 

Absolutely - feel free to take as many photos as you like!
